Hi dear readers, followers, and friends.
I want to take a moment to introduce myself—not in the polished, professional way one might expect. Not with presentable sentences about how fulfilling writing is, or a list of hobbies meant to make me sound socially acceptable. Instead, I want to crack the door to my internal world just enough to let you see why I am who I am.
I write because it is the only place I have ever felt safe saying what needs to be said. Writing gives me permission to be honest and vulnerable while also allowing me to hide in plain sight. I can claim my words as truth, or dismiss them as imagination—fantasy, observation, passing thought. But the truth is simpler: I write my experiences. My feelings. My questions. My wounds. Whether in poetry, short stories, blog posts, captions, or quiet fragments meant only for myself, I lay it all out.
I often write in paradox, carried by juxtaposition. I do this intentionally, hoping that many will miss the deeper meanings of my truths. Not because I want to be misunderstood, but because I learned long ago that when my sensitivity is fully visible, it is often taken advantage of. If you have read my poetry, you will notice recurring themes of heartbreak. That is not coincidence. I have known many forms of it—through family, friendships, lovers, and partners alike.
I have wrestled with self-worth for as long as I can remember. And while I am in a healthier place now—thank you, therapy—I still have moments where the old echoes return. As I’ve grown older, I’ve begun to wonder if my soul was never designed for this era: one where we are constantly connected, yet profoundly disconnected—from one another and from ourselves. Because of this, I often struggle to form deep emotional bonds. Many people simply do not have the capacity—or willingness—to meet me there.
And so, I write.
I write because I crave. Because I hurt. Because I long. Because I grapple for meaning in the quiet spaces left behind. I write because my words are the most honest and reliable truth I have ever known. I trust them in ways people have failed me. My words stay. They do not abandon me.
If you find yourself reading my work and notice the sudden shifts from tenderness to darkness, from beauty to heaviness, know this: you are not seeing contradiction—you are seeing me.
I am a wandering soul in a chaotic world, simply searching for a place to let my words rest. If they happen to rest with you for a moment, then perhaps neither of us is wandering alone.
